Move, Even Just a Little
For three minutes, move on purpose.
Roll your shoulders forward, then back.
Slow. Exaggerated. Like you’re shaking off a long day (you are).
Stretch your arms overhead.
Then let them drop. Heavy.
Twist gently side to side, seated or standing.
Let your spine wake up.
Shake out your hands.
Unclench your jaw too, it’s been holding a lot.
Movement that lets your body clock out of stress mode.
Try:
While you’re camera off on Zoom.
Between meetings.
While a tab loads.
In the bathroom, no explanation required.
No one needs to know you’re doing it, but your nervous system will thank you.

Think about a seesaw.
Stress goes up. Something has to bring it back down.
When nothing does, your body stays tense.
A few minutes of movement helps stress move through.
Shoulders roll. Spine twists. Jaw loosens.
